Kashiwa Sato’s impressive resume includes projects like Uniqlo’s global branding and the creative direction of Ratuken; his latest effort is a little more intimate. In partnership with G-Sock, Sato has imagined his own “DWE-5600KS” watch, elevated by transforming accents. Launching just ahead of his delayed exhibition this unique G-SHOCK timepiece remixes the familiar DWE-5600 with a variety of thoughtful touches. These include a face that features the artist’s name, graphic detailing inspired by Sato’s Line series that began in 2017 and even a “K” that appears when the backlight is activated.
